Family history and back story:

Pansy is the only child of a rich Pureblood family. Her father was generally a quiet man, while her mother was something of an empty headed socialite. She had a relatively happy childhood, and generally enjoyed her early years at Hogwarts. She was friends with the other girls in Slytherin. She was especially close, however, with Draco Malfoy.
Her life started to change when Voldemort rose at the end of her fourth year. Her father, a Death Eater, was busy most of that summer, and both her parents seemed constantly on edge. They also stopped going to their summer home, as they had every other year. In her fifth year, Pansy became a prefect, and joined the Inquisitorial Squad, happy for anything that would change the order of the day at Hoqwarts, where she felt that Dumbledore encouraged bias against Slytherin.
In sixth year, she watched Draco's decline as he struggled to fulfill a task for the Dark Lord, about which he wouldn't confide to her. Her confidence in the Dark Lord took a sharp downwards turn. After Dumbledore's death, and Draco's disappearance, she decided she wanted nothing to do with the war. That summer, rather than returning home, she took up refuge in her family's abandoned summer home. When Draco unexpectedly turned up, the two waited out the war together.
After the war, Pansy found her father in jail, most of her family fortune gone, and her mother an alcoholic addicted to trashy romance novels, and refusing to admit that she was no longer the socialite she had once been. There was nothing for it, but for Pansy to leave her mother in the empty manor, and move out as a working girl. She found a job as a secretary to the DMLE at the ministry. Despite the fact that she seems to spend most of her time at work painting her nails, she's surprisingly good at her job.

| PERSONALITY|

Personality: Pansy prides herself on being pure, grade A bitch. Despite this, if she cares about someone, she is extremely devoted. She can be something of a drama queen, and claims to do much of what she does for the amusement value. She loves baiting people. If someone upsets her, she's likely to get sulky and lash out at them verbally.

Vices: A serious caffeine addiction. Coffee is her lifeblood. She also smokes, though not heavily.
